Hard to believe but some job markets are still hot. And boomers are stoking the flames. CNNMoney.com looked at which industries are thriving:

Education – Layoffs, boomers with new careers and increasing interest in degree programs and certifications are boosting employment within this sector. The education industry added more than 9,000 positions last November, according the U.S. Labor Department.

Health services – Aging boomers are creating greater demand for health care. In fact, many argue the sheer number of older patients will eventually swamp the industry. But for now, Diana Fitting, vice president for staffing company Adecco, tells CNNMoney.com the health care industry is “the healthiest sector in the U.S. job market.”

Accounting – This is a great field, especially for a recession, says John Challenger, chief executive of global outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas. And with the financial industry under fire from regulators, there will likely be an increase in auditing firms, says Lee Pinkonitz, associate professor at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.
