ETF assets continue year-over-year to rise
Assets of all exchange-traded funds rose in the latest ICI compilation by $16.98 billion, or 2.7 percent, to $656.91 billion. Over the past 12 months, ETF assets increased $70.94 billion, or 12.1 percent. Assets in domestic equity ETFs increased $9.40 billion since last year, and global equity ETFs assets rose $20.98 billion during this period. Assets of bond funds were $90.04 billion and hybrid funds were $162 million at the end of the same period.
The value of all ETF shares issued exceeded that of shares redeemed by $5.38 billion, and experienced a net issuance of $10.65 billion.
